A boot tray provides a place for you and your guests to place their shoes. If you have also purchased a doormat, it will be much easier to clean the boot tray because there’s less snow and dirt inside of it. It’s simple, your guests wipe their feet on your doormats and then once they’ve entered your home, they put their shoes inside of the boot tray. This eliminates so much mess that would have been made if you had neither of the two. You can also get creative with boot trays and make it a DIY project, saving you a few dollars, making for a fun project and turning your boot tray into a nice decoration. In addition, you could purchase a small laundry basket so that you and your family can also discard of potentially wet, dirty socks. These simple solutions will literally knock your socks off!
Keep Entry Area Clean
The dirt from slush and salt residue can build up over time if you don’t keep the doorway area clean. This will make all the other solutions pretty much useless because even when guests wipe their shoes and take them off, there will residue already on the floor that can trail with them.
